A webinar for a client yesterday…

During the intro round,a participant said,” I am a Retina fellow….”

I was about to pounce on him with my feedback,” please be formal in introducing yourself….”

Noticing my puzzled look he clarified he’d completed a two-year clinical fellowship encompassing all aspects of medical and surgical retina and is now a ‘RETINA FELLOW’! 😎😜🤪

I then became comfortable with a Glaucoma Fellow and a Cornea Fellow!

I must admit it provided a mirthful start to the webinar on clinical (doctor-patient) communication !

Lesson learnt – Prepare! Prepare! Prepare!
